Against the backdrop of this Croatian-inspired village, reminiscent of epic Game of Thrones sets, our captivating session unfolded amidst unexpected weather, and the breathtaking beauty of a setting sun.

Our beautiful client had never had any professional portraits taken since her wedding, so this day was extra special for her. Before venturing to Adriatica, the journey began at our Plano studio. Makeup artist Markita worked her magic, creating a flawless look for our client. For the first look, we adorned her in a mesmerizing Smokey Amethyst dress with a full tulle skirt, a choice that added an ethereal touch to the session. This dress was designed by Chicaboo, one of the leading designers for high quality maternity outfits.

Unexpected Rain, Serendipitous Breeze:

While our client was getting ready, the temperatures outside had already risen to nearly 106 degrees. Needless to say, we were very nervous about how we would make the session as comfortable as possible for our client.

As if in sync with the anticipation, rain unexpectedly graced us while our client was getting ready. Far from dampening spirits, it brought relief to the summer heat. By the time we ventured to Adriatica, the atmosphere was refreshed, breezy, and cool, creating the perfect setting for an outdoor maternity session during sunset.

Adriatica Village, a slice of Croatia in McKinney, provided a cinematic setting for this maternity session. The stone pathways, rustic architecture, and the echoes of a different time transported our client into a world of timeless elegance, making every frame a piece of art. Our goal during every maternity session is to make sure our client is enjoying the experience as much as possible – but at Adriatica Village it was easy to do because the whole location was a feast for the eyes. When my client wasn’t posing, we were taking in the views.
