Newborn Photography North Shore MA
Offering maternity and newborn photography to new parents in the Greater Boston Area is a great passion of mine, and is something that speaks to my soul. As an artist I love taking colors and themes that my clients want and incorporate it into their session. When baby Dakota’s mother booked me to do her newborn session, she said that she wanted to incorporate lots of pink and unicorns – this was also the theme of her baby shower as well. I was up for the challenge because I love the color pink and am obsessed with unicorns!
One of the first things I did to prepare for this session was create a unique, one of a kind unicorn headband for Dakota. Since I knew there would be a lot pink throughout the session, I decided to keep the headband neutral with different shades of white. The horn was gold (of course, what else would it be?) and the little ears as well. I adorned it with beautiful linen white flowers. Baby Dakota wore it perfectly atop her curly brown hair. I loved the headband so much that I made sure Dakota would wear it for two different set ups.
Take a look at the gorgeous gallery below and enjoy all the vibrant colors and of course . . . unicorns!
For every newborn session I try to do one artistic set up that I call the “Sleeping Baby Pose.” In this pose, I swaddle baby into a perfect round shape and place them onto an artistic scene. These images often end up being parent’s favorites and make beautiful wall art for baby’s nursery. For Dakota I wanted to continue with the unicorn theme but I wanted to incorporate more than just one color. For Dakota’s sleeping baby pose I created a magical unicorn set up and its honestly one of my favorite newborn portraits that I’ve taken.
I poured my heart and soul into Dakota’s newborn photography session and her parents were incredibly pleased when they came in for their ordering session. They loved all her portraits so much that they decided to invest in one of my luxury albums so that they can view all of the images whenever they want. As Dakota grows older, she will always have these beautiful portraits to love and cherish, and I am so honored to have been her photographer.
